Clinical Practice Information Available

AmeriHealth Mercy has adopted clinical practice guidelines for use in guiding the treatment of AmeriHealth Mercy members, with the goal of reducing unnecessary variations in care.  The clinical practice guidelines represent current professional standards, supported by scientific evidence and research.  These guidelines are intended to inform, not replace, the physician’s clinical judgment.  The physician remains responsible for ultimately determining the applicable treatment for each individual.

Hardcopies of the following clinical guidelines are available by contacting the Provider Services Department at 800-521-6007:

  • Asthma
  • Cholesterol
  • Diabetes
  • Heart Failure
  • Hemophilia
  • HIV
  • Sickle Cell Disease
