Winners of Annual Children's Art Program
Harrisburg (PA) – AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan, a member of the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies, recently announced nine winners of its 2009 Children's Art Program. Young members of the health plan submitted original artwork on a health-related theme that was judged by employees of AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan, which sponsored the program. This annual program promotes health awareness and increases children's self-esteem.
The theme for the 2009 Children’s Art Program was "Feeling Fine in '09 - Healthy Body, Healthy Mind." AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan members in pre-K through 8th grade were asked to submit original pieces of art to participate in this contest. Contestants were judged by grade level. First place winners received pizza parties at their school or after school program, $100 gift certificates and their art work framed; second place winners received $50 gift certificates and their artwork framed; and third place winners were awarded $25 gift certificates. All contestants received certificates of participation.
