Local Company Donates Over 300 Toys to Needy Children

Harrisburg, PA - As part of the Angel Tree Program, AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan Associates donated toys to needy children in Lancaster County on Friday, December 3.

The Angel Tree Program provides disadvantaged members of the community a brighter holiday season. Volunteers receive a child's "angel," name from the Salvation Army and purchase gifts for him or her for the holiday season. AmeriHealth Mercy associates often take a team approach, collecting presents from their co-workers, family and friends for their "angel." This year, AmeriHealth Mercy associates purchased gifts for over 300 "angels" throughout its service area.

Headquartered in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan is a Medical Assistance managed care plan currently serving over 80,000 Medical Assistance recipients in Adams, Berks, Carbon, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Northampton, Perry, Pike, and York counties.
