AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan to Host Asthma Program for Clinical Staff
Allentown, PA - Are you aware that 17 million people in the United States suffer from asthma? Asthma affected by allergies accounts for 60 percent of this population.
AmeriHealth Mercy has partnered with Schering-Plough to address this issue in an outreach program: "Asthma As It Relates to Allergies." The purpose of this program is to deliver information about asthma as it relates to allergies, including exposure to triggers that may bring on asthma symptoms. The management of asthma in terms of diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation from national standards of care will also be emphasized.
This accredited program for nurses, nurse case managers and pharmacists will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza in Allentown. Other medical professionals are also invited to attend. There is no charge for registration and attending.
