In keeping with the company’s Mission and Values, the Member Scholarship Program was created in 1988 in an effort to extend support to members beyond traditional healthcare services. Members are awarded scholarships to help cover tuition expenses at an accredited college or trade school. Of this year’s 10 recipients - one is a five-year winner, one is a two-year winner and eight are first-year winners.
The Member Scholarship Program recognizes AmeriHealth Mercy members who have committed themselves to continuing their education and have demonstrated a financial need. The scholarship program is funded by donations from associates of AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan.
