Lost Information Update

Dear Community:

AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan now has a toll-free hotline available for people to call if they have questions about the letter they received concerning the loss of their personal health information. The number is: 1-877-412-7144. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

AmeriHealth Mercy misplaced a portable computer drive (USB flash drive). The drive had personal health information about some of our members and others who attended some of our community events. The drive with the copied information was lost within our Philadelphia office, and we have not been able to find it.

Everyone affected by this incident has been mailed a letter. The letter outlines what happened and what information was lost. If you received a letter and have questions, please call the hotline number: 1-877-412-7144.  If you did not receive a letter, but think you might be affected, you can also call 1-877-412-7144.

We are sorry for any concern this may cause our members or others in the community.  We have taken immediate action to make sure this doesn’t happen again.  We have put safety measures in place and have also re-trained our employees on the importance of protecting the privacy and security of confidential information.
