Member Scholarship Program: Helping Members Achieve Their Education Dreams

The Member Scholarship Program is AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan's unique way of helping our members achieve their dreams by continuing their education. With contributions from its employees, AmeriHealth Mercy offers scholarships to members who are non-traditional students and recent high school graduates enrolled in college or vocational school.
Applicants submit essays describing their educational aspirations and explain how their education will impact their lives. A committee reviews and scores each essay on select criteria including neatness, content and individual need to determine the final recipients.

Since its inception in 1988, the Member Scholarship Program has given nearly $1.6 million in scholarships to more than 750 members in Southeastern, Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
