Angel Tree: Helping Needy Families during the Holidays

The holidays are a great opportunity to offer help to individuals and families who may, for one reason or another, be in need of assistance. That's why AmeriHealth Mercy's associates have participated in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program since 1988. The Angel Tree program is a collaborative effort, with the Salvation Army, to bring Christmas gifts to low income children. AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan employees, as well as Keystone Mercy Health Plan employees, buy Christmas gifts for children identified by the Salvation Army.

Through this program, as many as 450 gifts are distributed to children throughout a 10-county region in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania
